1. Consultation: This may be the most important step. During the initial consultation we will get to know you and your vision goals as well as perform a precise mapping of your eye. This will enable our doctors to make a recommendation for the best surgical treatment to help you achieve your vision goals and determine if Laser Vision Correction is the right treatment for you.

2. Pre-Operative Exam: Once it is determined that you are a Laser Vision Correction candidate, we will have you return for a pre-operative exam one to two weeks before your scheduled surgery date. During this appointment, we will perform advanced diagnostic testing ensuring a high degree of precision and safety.

3. Day of Surgery: When you arrive on the day of your procedure, we will review your post-operative care instructions and provide you with a mild sedative to help reduce any anxiety. We will give you some eye drops to help with comfort. Most patients’ actual laser treatment takes 20-30 seconds and they are in the laser suite for less than 10 minutes. You will need a driver with you to take you home. We recommend taking a nap right after your procedure to help speed the visual recovery.

4. Post Op / Recovery: Depending on the type of surgery you have, the first postoperative appointment is typically 1-4 days after surgery. This allows our team to ensure that your eyes have tolerated the procedure well and that you are well on your way to better vision. We will also review post-operative care instructions and make sure any other follow-up appointments are scheduled.
